Minneriya National Park is famous for its large herds of wild elephants, notably during the “Elephant Gathering” that happens every year near the Minneriya Tank. There are a lot of birds, lakes, and dry zone woodlands in the park, thus it’s a fantastic place for wildlife safaris. It lets people see Sri Lanka’s famed animals in their natural habitat.
